Making Cranberry Sauce

Cranberry sauce—a classic staple within holiday dinners—should be served homemade and not from a can. Use fresh, local cranberries from your farmers market for best flavor.

Ingredients:

  • 15oz fresh cranberries
  • 1 medium apple
  • 1 medium orange
  • 1/2 cup sugar

Method:

  • Peel and seed the orange. Core the apple and chop.
  • Combine all the fruit in a food processor and blend until combined and nearly smooth without being watery.
  • Empty into a mixing bowl and stir in sugar to taste.
