Books & Vines: Celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month

In collaboration with the historical Los Angeles Athletic Club, Life & Thyme presents Books & Vines: Celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month. This event is a tribute to the vibrant tapestry of Latinx storytelling, literary voices, and winemakers. From tales that transcend borders to narratives that ignite conversations, we invite you to our second installment of Books & Vines at Los Angeles Athletic Club.

Offering an alternative perspective on Latinx Los Angeles, Central American women authors Dr. Stephanie L. Canizales (UC Berkeley Assistant Professor of Sociology and Author of Sin Padres, Ni Papeles), Karla T. Vasquez (Food Writer and Author of The Salvisoul Cookbook), and Yesika Salgado (award-winning poet and author of Corazón, Tesoro, and Hermosa) join Los Angeles Athletic Club’s Director of Programming & Partnerships, Ricky Sanchez, in a conversation about their literary journeys and how their identities have shaped their work.

Featuring wines by Vinos Unidos.
