Spirits of Los Angeles

In collaboration with ROW DTLA, Life & Thyme presents Spirits of Los Angeles, a month-long series focusing on exploring the cultures that call Los Angeles home through their spirits. Get to know the Peruvian pisco sour, and the Brazilian caipirinha. Sip on sake and delve deeper into the roots of mezcal. Each event will feature a panel conversation with local Los Angeles chefs, bartenders and more, and will conclude with a guided tasting of the featured beverage.

Thursday, June 9th: Peruvian, 6:30pm
Explore the impact of Peruvian culture on Los Angeles with Causita’s Ricardo Zarate and Ramsey Musk, plus learn about the Pisco Sour. 

Thursday, June 16th: Brazilian, 6:30pm
Sip on caipirinhas while learning about Brazilian culture in Los Angeles with Caboco’s Victor Vasconcellos and Marcus Ragas.

Thursday, June 23rd: Japanese, 6:30pm
Delve into the roots of sake and its importance in Japanese culture with Tsubaki and Chef Kuniko Yagi.

Thursday, June 30th: Mexican, 6:30pm
Dig into the impact of Mexican culture on Los Angeles with Life & Thyme journalist Ferron Salniker, Cesar Sandoval of Abasolo Whiskey and Nixta Licor de Elote, Salvador Chavez of La Luna Mezcal and Chef Bricia Lopez of Guelaguetza.
